our car ripped off on the new road to East Bali, and we were only a few meters away.
The guy got the back door open and stole a laptop,passports cash, phone and business records.
The sunglass shop were obviously in on it as they couldn't work out what 4 pairs of sunglasses at 25,000 Rp cost until they suddenly calculated that it was 100.000.
Obviously they could see that their mate who was doing the ripping off just 4m away hadn't quite finished so had to keep us looking away from the road.
We got Bali's finest on the job but as they can no longer interview with blunt objects around the face the stall owner just lied.
Unfortunately we didn't realise anything was missing until we stopped at Candidasa, so no recovery was possible.
