Day 8 - Friday Cont .... After arriving back from the orphanage we decided Ne Jan was no better so I contacted reception for a Doctor, amazing !!!! She was at our room within 10 minutes along with a lovely nurse. Judy was very impressed as she is also a nurse. As we thought a gastro' bug was diagnosed but she would not agree to the expected "BB", (We discovered on our return to Oz, she was probably correct!). After a shot in the bum and some tablets to stop the nausea she started coming good. The cost for the visit was Rp1,730,000 (Au$216 approx), but it is claimable on our insurance. Try getting a doctor to your home that quick in Oz !!!!! if at all !!!!!. I didn't have that amount of money but she was cool with me dropping it into the clinic, which was only a five minute walk from the hotel. I went down to the lobby with both the Dr and nurse and bid them fairwell on their scooter, bag of tricks strapped on behind!

During the day we picked up the boots from Casey's, Ne Jan and Judy were very happy with them, fitted like a glove! Had a meal with I Jan & Judy, while Ne Jan spent a quiet night in the room. We joined her for our normal night cap and the obligatory laughs about the trip's happenings!

Day 9 - Saturday,
Feeling a bit in the doldrums what with Ne Jan crook and getting close to our departure! Headed off to brekkie, and just after sitting down, there was Ne jan, not bright and bushy tailed, but a lot better!
After Brekkie, with plenty of water in hand, we all took off for a "Little" more shopping, for people back home who have helped us by looking after in-laws, pets etc and to make it possible for this trip!

The afternoon was a relaxing one around the pool, then we headed off to Tuban again for dinner. We had promised I Jan a meal at a place of his choice on us for his 60th which was about 2 months earlier. He chose the "Pantai Restaurant", which has become a bit of a tradition for us the night before we leave! Unfortuntately, due to time and progress, the beach has been reclaimed with lot's of sand so the romance of the waves crashing against the wall of the restaurant have long gone, also disappointing was the menu, not the old "Seafood" fare we remembered, albeit, still a lovely place to spend an evening with good friends.

We decided to walk back to Jl Kartika Plaza to catch a cab back to the KP, and half way along the lane where there are a few shops, a group of young Bali guys and a Swede were sitting in one of the shops, (Sells paintings & Prints etc), drinking out of makeshift cups and playing guitars and bongo's etc. They invited us in and we joined in with me on bongos doing a few Reggae and whatever songs we could think of. All were having a great time, and it is just one of the many happy, warm reasons I am sure we all enjoy this amazing place! Yes, of course another night of night caps and laughs in our room.

To be continued .....
