Hi,
This was the 5th time staying at this hotel. It is in a good position in Jl Padma, and a 1 minute walk will have you on the corner of Jl Legian (left to Seminyak right to Kuta.
Rooms are quite nice the only bugbear for some people is the narrow opening from the bedroom to the bathroom (no glass only a blind)and some people are put off by being able to hear goings on in the bathroom by others!!!
Pool rooms are nice on the ground floor, but a fair bit dearer.
Deluxe rooms are on the 1st and second floor at the back with 2 queen beds and a couch- smaller balconies though, but quieter.
As I said in my report they are painting to spruce it up and there is new furniture in the dining room.
Breakfast is not flash but adequate. I take my own honey, peanut butter and jam so as to make breakfast a bit different each day (I love eggs but after 5 weeks got very sick of them!!) Bacon is a shocker.. fruit and a couple of cereals on offer...What was nice but definately not good for the figure was the Pom Poms.. (their version of Potato Gems) but they dont do them every day...also the Potato wedges were nice....
The Pool is very nice but it has a bad leak in it at present and it loses over 10cm each day..They are still trying to work out the problem with it. (They also have a childrens pool) If your a sun godess the pool lounges straight in front when you go down the steps from reception are in full sun all day...if you want shade the lounges right up the back behind the childrens pool or to the right of the pool in the morning (sun there in arvo)
Staff are very friendly and they have a BBQ night and Italian night on alternate wednesday nights. We went to both and they were really nice.
The Lokha Spa girls (massages etc) are good but a bit pricey at 150,000rp per massage seeing you can get one on the streets for 50,000rp. There was a good special 2 people for the price of 1 if you get a massage between 8am-11am
The money changer just up from Indo national on same side heading towards Jl Legian is honest and never had a problem with him also he is good for transport.
If you want a sim card turn left out of hotel go up over intersection straight ahead on right hand side in lane is the cheapest place I have found to buy and get credit. Also have a internet cafe there (as the one in Jl Padma has now closed down.
Circle K next to Indo National is cheaper than the Cirkle K down near corner of Jl Padma and Jl Sawhedwa
I used Mirah Laundry which is turn right out of hotel and on left hand side down past Legends Pub
Massages by "Mina" straight across the road from The Lokha were fantastic walk across and next to the small surf shop walk down but its not the one sraight in front as you walk down its to the left hand side down past the Lokha Hotel Spa and Massage shop.
Hope this helps...cant think of anything else
Cheers
