I was thinking to have breakfast with our friends but checking our itinerary we leave on 22nd September with Pacific Blue at 15.00pm arriving Perth at 18.35pm. We then do not leave Perth until 23.15pm arriving at 05.35am the next morning. We wanted to have "coffee and snack" with our close friends who live in Mandura and were going to travel up to see us, if only for an hour or so. We originally thought we would buy our duty free, clear customs in Perth, repack our duty free into our suitcases and board the Domestic flight they put us on (DJ473)at the domestic airport. My initial query with Pacific Blue was as we have "Blue Saver" tickets our international over and back to Brisbane flight allowed us 20kg luggage, but they say with domestic travel, blue saver is carry on luggage only. I really am concerned with the situation they have now put us in.
