UC Silver. Jalan Raya Batubulan Gg. Batabulan, Gianyar. Just google UC Silver.
I had a ring in which the teardrop sapphire fell out, probably as I wear the ring always. When in Bali last week our driver suggested UC Silver to repair it.
We had a tour of the silver factory, that was an eye-opener, 110 people slaving over their little booth soldering rings, jewellry etc. There is a shop next door also which you can purchase jewellry, also they export to other countries. All their jewellry is gorgeous.
I asked the tour guide of the silver factory if they could fix my ring with a stone. As it was a teardrop shape the only stone they had was a garnet which was fine, better than no stone at all. 20 minutes later and round the back door entrance of the impressive jewellry shop, a shop assistant came back with my ring, the lady asked for 50.000 rp ($6.50 Aud), (I know a ridiculous price, and the ring looks fabulous). I purchased other items there and received a receipt yet fixing my ring was done just in cash payment. My son noticed that she got one of the really hard workers in the factory to put the stone in as he was watching her ask him.
Anyway that was my experience. The other option that I was going to pursue was Mrs Pak at the Bali Rani Hotel in Tuban, opposite Discovery centre yet this way was a great outcome. Hope the info helps.
