First, I'm really pleased that somebody (including YOU, suspicious man) read my story. Thanks.
Second. I can't stop smiling when people found my post as so called "advertisement". It's up to you to suspect, but nothing of the kind.
Third. Maybe my English is not as good as yours, but please, re-read my post attentively once more. I didn't want to highlight these particular cafes and claimed the rest that they are worse.
The only thing I tried to say - that ALL cafes on the beach are completely similar (as good/bad as others)! So, it's up to you where to stop for the dinner. In the first cafes on the beach (like "Roma café", ha-ha-ha) or at the end. The result will be the same...
Then, why I "bother to help a fisherman who also has a restaurant"?
(You better first go and see those "restaurants" on the beach. 20 square meters of the sand each with 10 tables and very small kitchen. Look very similar.)
Just because. Because I've got a great satisfaction of fishing itself. Because I saw a real WHALE (!!!) 10m long or even bigger, who was swimming around our small boat within 50-100m for about an hour! Because I watched hundreds of big tuna jumping from the water nearby (though we failed to catch any by trolling). Because in the evening we had beautiful meals with grilled and fried fish which we caught ourselves. Because waiters from "Roma cafe" (I do not even know their names!) were very hospitable with us all the dinner long. (Though, not to be claimed again from suspicious people, I would say that waiters in the rest cafes around were very hospitable to all their clients EITHER!)
Is it NOT enough to say just a few good words about? With NO purpose... And no profit.
Or you, suspicious man, consider, that I was supposed to charge those poor but very friendly local guys special price for this my posting? Maybe that's what tourist agents do and make their money to advertize other cafes, but then I'm more stupid.
And for the last - to answer your question - "Are you a Russian tourist or a native local fisherman or a Russian fisherman doing business in Bali ?"
Yes, I'm just a Russian tourist, who visited Bali the first (and I think the last) time in my life. Not because I didn't like Bali. But it a too long way ( 16 hours flight with 2 stops) - to return there again. There are so many other places in the world to visit...
By the way, I stopped in Bali in 3 different Hotels ( 3 nights each) - in Ayodya Hotel, in Nikko Bali Hotel and Intercontinental Hotel. And each of them was perfect for me to stay. And I could write much more pleasant words about these Hotels, about their staff etc. But I suspect that suspicious people will suspect again that I will do it purposely, to earn money... (...)
Yes, I'm a crazy amateur fisherman. And my wife either. And we seek for any opportunity to go fishing. Anywhere. Even in Bali. By the way, there are dozen of local fisher families right close to Nikko Bali Hotel, and those of you who like fishing - can try to go fishing there as well.
Sorry for another such a long story...
