Apart from the logistics of Ubud being a much shorter trip to Legian, I would say that if you have never stayed in Ubud then you should this time. Great restaurants and Warungs. Friday night sees the Reggae Band at Cafe Lobong in Monkey Forest Rd. Saw them again last Tuesday night for about the 4th time and had a hoot with a group of 6. Depending on budget eat nearby at Cinta Grill or Nomad beforehand. The band strikes up just after 9PM and plays 2 sets until about 11:30.
