The websites I mentioned on one other report go to those sites put in what you would like to pay and they will come back with whats available.
There are lots of smaller hotels up in seminyak way, yes a better further out but they are cheap and comfortable and a taxi is only going to cost you worst case $4.00 or $5.00 each way depending where you want to go.
When I searched the net I found hotels for $20-$30-40 a room including breakfast for 2 people and they were not dumps. Always check trip advisor on comments on hotel before you book any.
You will be suprised what you will find.
I feel from now on, you will have to book hotels well in advanced due to most airlines bringing out cheaper airfares and airlines will continue to give us cheaper flights to Bali especially from Perth, however in saying this Sydney and Melbourne have also had great fares.
I spend days researching hotels around the world for trips that my family want and I always find them a better flights/hotel for a cheaper price.
Just did my daughter's trip to America quoted by travel agent $8211.00 each person. I just did it online and it cost $3500 including return flight from Perth to LA all flights in around Amercia (4 flights) all good hotels for 26 nights. She is going with her cousin so its shared hotel rooms you can't ask for better than that. It cost the girls $7000 for 2 not $16422 for 2 it did take me two weeks to complete this task.
Hint:Book flights and hotel on a public holiday its heaps cheaper.
The secret is what do you want to pay then you find it and I have not read any books by the way I just have alot of time on my hands, Children all grown up now and one is married.
