If you have the whole day go into the crater and over the lake to the "traditional" aga village - very ancient customs. Be careful the prices are fixed but they try to get tips out of you. Beware of the sellers at the top by the restaurants - especially the wood carvings - they show you a good carving then switch to a poor quality.
