Yes, it is a little way out, but it is somewhere new and different to explore. After many trips, we like trying new places. The beach is dark sand, nice rocks and remote. The cafes/restaurants along the beach are good value and the Beach House does have a very good menu at good prices. The BBQ was great. You select what you want and they cook it. Comes with a self serve salad of high quality OR you can order off the extensive menu. The atmosphere was great. We were there on Sunday and there was a live band. The place was very full. No tables. We, too, arrived early in the afternoon and made our table booking for 18 plus people. For some reason the phones were not working and we could not book prior. A nice place anyway to spend a lazy afternoon. The sunset was great and we had no issue getting transport, they organised it for us. We think it is worth a visit during a longer stay in Bali and for those that have experienced many of the other areas.
