i know that if i were to visit a tourist attraction with animals, that i would prefer to visit somewhere that the animals were treated humanely than pay a bargain price and see distressed animals.
many people with no background in either tourism or animal welfare do not know the difference between a good and a bad place - that is not their fault, as they dont know what to look for.
i dont work for Bali Adventures, but i do work in Bali in the tourism industry (not for any particular attraction, i might add). i have visited many elephant camps in Bali and can tell you that Taro is the best. i do not get paid for my opinion and i would not accept it anyway. my opinion is just that - MY opinion.
