Prices will be going upto 700,000rups a night at the Kumala Pantai. That's 150,000 rups per night more. They had already put their prices up in March of this year or roughly around that time.
Resturant prices have just increased another 20% also.
The person who has told me is there at the moment and can't believe the prices and whats happening there.
I wish the staff would get a pay rise and stop giving us there hard luck stories for us to feel sorry for them. I give to them all and we go twice a year but the last year we went 3 times so didn't give to them last trip as we had already given each person 200,000 each trip previous to that. Honestly they are like bees to honey when you arrive and then the second last day just hover waiting to get there tips. Its sad but it gets a bit much.
Management seems to be getting greedy because its popular.(Supply and demand)
I don't feel its worthy of that sort of money.(around $93.00 a day)
Its a good hotel but only a 3 star. The old block is great however needs a makeover. The new rooms are nice and new but I don't like it over there as its cramped around the pool atea.
We had booked 4 rooms for November but have found elsewhere which is better and much more quieter for our liking and not as expensive. It only a small place. Will be cancelling the rooms at Kumala.
I suggest start looking for smaller hotels out of the hassle and bussel of Kuta and Legian and you will be surprised as what is out there.
Yes a little further out but who cares you are on holiday's.
Good Luck with finding a hotel.
