My daughter and I went on the 'Safari Park' Elephant ride, three weeks ago. I desperately wanted to experience this on our holiday. It was $35 Aus each, for a 10 minute ride!! We did not enjoy it at all. We were sitting on the elephants back with a padded tarp under us. The walk was down a cement watery hill for five minutes turn around and come back. The elephant was stepping very cautiously as if he may slip. I felt sorry for him and we felt unsafe. It was extremely uncomfortable too. I would never do this again. Just glad we didn't do the half hour ride which was about $80 Aus.
