However, it is best to know who built it, properties are not built here under the same standards as Western Countries. Some homes go up in 3 months where we live and I think they will come falling down like a house of cards in about 2 years. Most of the 'new' housing in our area has water problems, they don't use damp courses, actually they don't even start with a foundation and frame on a house, nothing is straight and most walls are turning green and bubble from the amount of water they have in them.

If the property is built by a Western builder or at least under supervision and to a western standard then you will not lose money but otherwise you may need it rebuilt in a few years time.

So far our investment is a success. I would recommend shopping around for a while before jumping in. It is easier for us as we live here and can keep an eye on it.
