you can buy and make money in any country in any type of market even in this current market provided you buy in the right area for the right price.
obviously their laws can vary significantly from Australia's but we know people who are subdividing and building homes over there as well as buying holiday rentals and they haven't 'lost the lot' as previous poster implies!
