increased schedules to Australia start.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Garuda Indonesia announced earlier this week that it would expand its Australian network following the delivery of its four new Airbus 330-220 aircraft.
New three-weekly Jakarta services to Sydney and Melbourne will commence from 1 August 2009.
Subsequently, Garuda will offer a daily service between Indonesia and Sydney, Melbourne, and a double daily service from Perth to Bali and four-weekly direct flights to Jakarta.
The new flights are a part of Garuda's policy to introduce more non-stop flights to Indonesia according to Poerwoko Soeparyono, Senior General Manager Australia & Southwest Pacific.
He added that it will give Australian passengers easier access to Bali.
'We are also hoping that the new service will encourage Australian holiday makers to venture a bit further than Bali and explore some of the other amazing destinations that Indonesia has to offer'
