A friend of mine was returning with shopping to Kumala Pantai from Bintang, three weeks ago and the meter was set to start at 45,000.After some discusions about the driver's paternity, or lack of, my gentleman friend dismounted in some haste. The one behind supported the price but a cruising taxi gave the corect starting fare of 5,000.
Another trouble spot has always been at the seaward end of 66, where the idiots band together also. Best walk up the road and hail a cruising cab.
