because it is quieter. The SBH is quite nice, but don't get the superior room (very small and old), pay abit extra and get the oceanview or gardenview. We had a really nice room, quite big, and really big bathroom with fantastic huge shower. It depends what you are looking for in accom - there were alot of europeans at SBH, maybe a handful of aussies only. Being a big hotel they do get a few tour groups in. The pools were fantastic, breakfast was okay, a good selection, the location good, about 5 or 6 good restuarants in walking distance. There weren't many kids there when we were there, but that may be different in peak/school hols.
We would go back there to stay. I emailed the hotel to get a price, then emailed again for there best price, we paid 80 US for a deluxe gardenview room with extra bed, incl breakfast.
