we recently looked at a lot of travel insurance options and found Westpac (underwriter is Vero) to be the cheapest. Policy looked good, same inclusions as the others. We paid $137 for a family policy for our trip in Feb 2010 (19 days). All done over the phone, paid by cc immediately, 30 day cooling off period if we don't like the look of the policy when we receive it in the mail (we have already checked out the policy on their website). Family policy covers dependant children up to the age of 21 travelling with parents. Other prices ranged from $280 - $390!!
Can buy online at Westpac website for travel up to 6 months in advance or call a 1800 number for cover up to 12 months in advance. We have dealt with Vero before for a car insurance claim and found their claim processing to be terrific.
