We've been every year for the past 9 years, and never had any shots at all. If you were going into the jungle (I don't think Ubud counts) then you would need something, but for just baking about in Bali, I wouldn't bother. I take mega-B vitamins about a month before we go so that when we get there the mozzies don't bother me so much. There's something about the smell in the B group that the bugs don't like.
