Hi flew on weekend still in aftermath tired, depressed, missing bali!Garuda flight to bali smooth and on time service great plane full thousands at customs a plane from russia arrived 600 people and koreans with masks overtake local numbers.My son Putu met me(sorry if it offends some people but thats the way it is I told him about the negative people on the forum who critise this wording he was shocked he told me he has 2 mums bali mum and me that I was the first person to ever invite him to eat with me at restaurant that others made him wait outside but thats another story! Ok weather was perfect not to hot some really strong rain couple times.Rupiah around 7500-7800, found some things a little more pricey but to be expected.Food - Petite cafe fresh ,cheap,tomatoe soup with garlic and basil fresh sweet tomatoes yummy samosas vegetarian!Tommys cafe - had the ice coffees best in bali with a fresh moist muffin better than any Ive ever had my friend who owns coffee shop in aus asked for reciepe its that good, cold towel on arrival worth going there, also came down with dreaded bali flue had the immune drink from here worked wonders tastes terrible but I swear it works.Venue at the moon - corn cakes with fresh lime salsa and baileys icecream cake heaven!Rumours - Spaghetti garlic basil olive oil so many more dishes to rave over!Wayan and friends - sorry cant beat baguettes fresh HUGE salad and cold bintang for lunch!Jimbaran bay ok some love it some hate it but 12 of us thought how magical on the beach watching planes arrive eating fresh cooked snapper butterfly prawns in garlic and chilli serenaded with a five piece band shoes off and looking at a amazing view of jimbaran bay lights.So many more but there some of the smaller things with food that made these places a great experience!Hotels all along legian beachfront full and bookings heavy for this year the amount of planes arriving in bali daily is scarey like the old days hope they upgrade everything to cope with this?Traffic a nightmare takes ages to get anywhere!Ok more soon when brain starts kicking in!!!
HELP - Tommys cafe rum jungle road needs sweet nestle condensed milk brought to bali anyone who would like to help can you drop off some to Desma the NZ owner! You can get it in tube here easier to carry.Desma does amazing work for the people in bali has a card drive at the moment where street kids paint cards she sells them in her shop money goes to educating and getting kids off street cost very little they are moving and beautiful.If you can help this wonderful caring lady as a lot off what she does with her cafe goes back to the balinese I would and Im sure she would be most appreciated??????
