The Waka Land Cruise is great. We first did it four years ago and after many trips to Bali, did not realise what we were missing. Really get off the beaten track. Great scenery. You visit the quarry where the women carry rocks on their heads, a local village, hot springs and their jungle restaurant for a great buffet lunch - included in price with drinks. You can stop and start for photos and the guides are great (although our one this year did not live up the previous experience). The cars are Land Rovers, which are getting a little old now. Whilst not serious four wheel driving the roads are not great and you get tossed around a little, but they are quite comfortable. It is a relaxed day where you really feel like you are away from everything. It is well organised. The cost is US$80 - 90 per person, including lunch and drinks. Sounds expensive for Bali standards, but our advice is that if you have not done it and have done all the normal trips, you really don't know what you are missing. Highly recommended. Our friends who had not been to Bali before loved it.
