If you delve into any advice to airline travellers you may find that there are safety issues involved. I recently saw a TV programme about surviving an aircrash, and one of the survivors pointed out that now when he travels my air he ensures he dresses from inside out in garments made of natural products such as wool or cotton,(e.g. jeans (cotton) with a longsleeved shirt or jacket (cotton or wool) and leather shoes. I am not a panic artist or trying to tell anyone what to do, just pointing out that there may well be reasons other than trying to impose a dress standard.
