is wonderful! It's worth more than a quick visit. We stayed in the grounds of Tirtagangga water palace about 4 years ago for a few nights.
In the late afternoon after the day tourists had gone, local children would come into the grounds to swim and play. The pool water is from mountain streams, just gorgeous to swim in.
Students also practiced martial arts there.
We went on a guided walking tour around the Tirtagangga area with an employee from the palace. He is mute and the most expressive guide it has ever been our pleasure to meet.
