Jbr 1 wedding planning trip
Well we arrived at the airport at midnight we were booked in at the bakung cottages in tuban, what a disaster the bathroom was tiny we couldn't wipe our **** we had no hot water our bed sheets were dirty and our matteresses were damp. As i was organising our wedding i didn't want to stay in a flash hotel as i wouldn't be in it for long as i had lots of appointments to do. We had an excellent driver his name was wayan suketera i can give you his details if you like he was brilliant nice new car comfy seating and excellent English.
Wed morning i had an appointment with a photographer we had seen their packages and all i can say is wow!! Absolutely stunning we had booked him for 5hrs for photos and 8 hrs video and we were quoted 1200 AUD bloody bargain and the packages that are in them are well worth the money. We had paid them 200 AUD for deposit to secure date.
We then went to the wedding planner paid them in full for all the legalities that was short and easy and one payment down.
I then went to bali garden beach resort, and what a great breath of fresh air the pools and gardens are beautiful!! The bale is lovely there was a setup for a wedding that hadn't been fully completed but breathtaking. I had met with Sari she is the pr lady there and she was wonderful, i must say this though i am a very organised bride i had a scrapbook of what i wanted with pictures and colours and i have a budget to stick by and im very firm with that.we also have 80-100 people coming too, Sari was brilliant, with the prices she had sent me through emails were a bit steep in food then i had realised that i could hire out a restaurant with a band and pay for half of what i was quoted. So i had put this to her and i then gave her a budget of what the maximum that we would spend including everything form venue hire to the buffet and canapés and pre dinner drinks flowers decorations cake entertainment dj fire dancers string quartet we have the works ,we had only thought with the budget that we had given her we would only have half of all that. But that wasn't the case Well that just put a smile on my face!! Knowing this will be one spectacular wedding.
I then went to Chandra tailors and i had taken the material that i had bought from home to them and neg a price on 3 suits including shirts we had agreed on 65 AUd they were lovely my fiancée was very surprised when he saw them.
We then moved to dewi sri hotel we were in heaven clean crisp sheets no itchy beds and hot water yay. Once we were settled we then went to macaroni for tea that was nice then off to poppies.
Thurs morning i had paid deposit with photographer and then off to denpasar to meet with local florists not much luck there as their flower arrangements looked like funeral flowers or welcome flowers . we then tried to find the Tupperware warehouse and no luck. We then went off to unagi which i must say looked nice but knowing we couldn't take wood home everything there was no good for us we got a few beaded thing though. I had another meeting with sari and i had asked her if i could store everything at the hotel that i was buying for the wedding and she said no problem. I was even more wrapped. I went to jenny 29 shop and saw amy i had ordered 100 stubbie holders we got them for 6000rp each they were made in 2 days, very nice.
Fri went to geneva my god this is the big O for women!! I loved it with everything set prices cheaper than the stalls i was wrapped i had found some nice candle holders glass shattered ones like stacked ones for 11000rp absolutely bargain bought some other things bracelets and bags. Definitely going back next year with a bus load of girls. We then went to melasti day spa and we had our extensions done we paid 31AUD we took our own hair they did a excellent job and im a hairdresser so i know i then had it cut and coloured they used majirel (loreal). Looked fab!! We then went down poppies bought myself a nice 3 panel painting for 15 AUD and bought 80 hand fans for the wedding i got them from hot chilli stall and paid 70c each one. I then had all wedding stuff done such relief. I hope this helps all the brides to be on this forum.i have left my email open for further questions.
