Yes I agree have heard of many Balinese women who have divorced (yes they can) or left unfaithful or drunken husbands, but if they leave or divorce they have to go with only the clothes on their backs, they are usually living in husbands family compound, this is their culture, but in Tootsie,s or Ketut,s case her husband Wayan died, having had heart problems for quite a while so unless Ketut leaves the family compound I can,t see the problem. This is why so many western women who marry Balinese and get pregnant usually have their babies in their own country so they are not Indonesian subjects therefore the husbands family have no rights or control with the children.
