Having a lovely time and at Tegal Sari at the moment... and yes it's as lovely as everyone says it is. The room and staff are just wonderful. Back to Kumala Pantai tomorrow.

If you think the Balinese can scam... I got scammed before I left Melbourne by one of our Antipodean cousins ... got done for $50 with a hard luck story that his hole in the wall card wouldn't work as he hadn't notified his bank prior to leaving NZ. He said he had no money for VOA and would repay me... I handed over the money and no mention of an address. Saw him in the VOA queue and Zip! His nibs is still shaking his head. And to rub salt in the wound I also gave him half of my packed lunch for the plane. Kind of spoils it for people who genuinely get caught short.
Hopefully get down to S&S on the 2nd June.
