I think the policy document is badly drafted as it has a major section headed "We Will Not Under Any Section Pay For:" which is followed by 26 sub points, so you would think that blanket exclusion would apply to all 26 sub points.
However some sub points refer to particular exclusions so I guess we are meant to assume that the blanket exclusion does not apply in these cases, although it does not say that. So section 23 says:
"23. claims under Sections 2 (sub-sections 3 and 5), 3, 7 and 8 arising from Avian Influenza (including the H5N1 strain) or any derivative or mutation of such viruses,or the threat or perceived threat of any of the above."
so we can still make claims under "SECTION 1: Overseas Medical And Dental Expenses" which can be the big ticket item outside of Australia.
