Sorry can't help with art classes in Kuta, however your children may like to try out Odysseysurfschool.com Surfing for Kids. They have short surf courses for ages 6-60 yo at Kuta.
My husband did their beginners class and true to their word, he was standing on a surf board after his first lesson. Yes the board was in the water at the time :P
The bowling alley at Kuta is also heaps of family fun.
