I have read every single wedding post and blimey there are a lot. I fired off an email to Jenny who was very helpful and also to another forum member who was married in Bali who has been great.
Our son wants to marry his lovely bride in May next year in Sanur in a tropical garden setting but they want low key. I will contact BWI and a couple of others to compare.
We will be in Sanur in June and I want to find a nice relaxed and low key venue for them.I saw that someone used spirit cafe, do they usually do weddings or was this a one off.
From what I have seen the only option they would consider so far would be the Griya santrian if indeed they still host weddings there since the renovation.
So we need tropical garden, 40 guests approx, balinese entertainment including gamalan and a reception also low key and informal somewhere.
They aren't keen on table sit down meals, some mingling and casual.
Maybe someone will have an idea before we go over that I hadn't thought of.
They don't want a bells and whistles wedding. This is so hard, I am honoured to be entrusted but want to give them some great options.
The bride wouldn't mind a villa but it has to be Sanur so if all else fails I am sure the planners will find a villa in Sanur. The thing is that I did a tour of some beautiful villas a few years ago and they all seemed from a garden point of view to be minimal effect. The villas though were stunning and private. They want green, lush, tropical.
any ideas or email me on rusky35@hotmail.com
they don't have any internet themsleves right now but that will be attended to very soon so they can co ordinate with a planner
thanks for any replies
