Hi eviestevie, your husband is half right that it seems that it's miles from anywhere, but it's not like you are paying cab fairs like you are at home, most places are not quite within walking distances, but for family value the hotel makes up for far more than the taxi/bemo/free shuttle fares, get friendly with the drivers and enjoy your stay. There is no better family orientated hotel in Sanur as far as i'm concerned and i have been there(Sanur) on and off for more than 30 years
