Hi, I can only comment on the two hotels we stayed in: Patong Merlin and Kata Beach Resort and absolutely, with the exception of the housekeeping staff at Patong Merlin who were really lovely, they were definitely unfriendly and almost rude at times. I always smile at staff as approaching and they would look away and almost never greeted. Did post review on Phuket forum and others had also found this. Not to say it's the same at all hotels just my experience on that occasion.
