Swimmer girl, there's lots of arguments about which is better/easier to use. Some are OK with paying in AUD and getting change in rupiah, though you may get ripped off with what you get back in change, though it wouldn't be that much really, perhaps a dollar or two, so not a huge deal????

I buy 25 USD at the airport before I leave Melbourne and hand it over when I go through voa. To me, that's the easiest way to do it. I also don't worry about any exchange rate, I just buy the usd and be done with it.

It's totally up to you though, as I said, there are so many debates about what's easiest and what's not. So whatever would be easier for you, is the way to go.

Me = USD for sure.
