its fine to ask this question because you genuinely sound confused and it really is a question that will help other too?I have always found changng money at airport in aus before you leave into the US25 was far more easier than trying to work out the exchange rate while tired, hot and trying to get through customs as fast as you can.You can use any currency when paying but they will confuse you with rates sometimes not give right change back etc. it just seems so much easier to have the right amount ready when you set down in bali.p.s.my daughter a travel agent they arnt all bad and shes never recommended you must pay in US dollars they may have advised you that you HAVE to pay the US25 when arriving in bali not that you MUST pay in american dollars!have great trip it really is a breeze dont worry!
