Been there. It was exactly like going to the Sindhu Beach market, but scarier.
Unfortunately, Sanur is more for the "relax and enjoy" brigade (that includes me). There's not a lot to do except wander up and down the street checking out the shops. There are lots of little side streets to explore, and of course you can always get a car for a half day and go to Carrefour. Have a look at the Wikimapia link to Sanur, and check out what's where. Where the cross is is where the night market is.
