We have stayed in the ocean facing (pool view) and the ocean front. I prefer the ocean front because I like the day bed, I like the table and chairs that you get and its big enough to have more than 2 people on the balcony at the one time and seats 4 on the table and chairs. As to whether its worth the extra - well that would be a matter of opinion. We like to chill out on the balcony late afternoon/evening and have a few drinks, read and chat or whatever. I do know that having paid that much for the ocean front room last year, we did make sure we got our moneys worth. Its definitely more private and the view is amazing (especially if you request room 2048).
