We put in our application for the spouse visa in Jakarta last week.

The medical check up cost 650 thousand rupiah, which included, the x-ray, eyes check, HIV test, and urine test. They send the results directly to the embassy. You do not get to see them.

The police check done in Jakarta also... first you need.. 5 passport sized photos. You will need a letter from the Kelurahan (district chief) and then from the Kantor Camat you need the reference letter signed by both offices.

Then go to the police office ... there you'll fill out another form, with the applicants details and their parents/siblings details.

They type up the letter for you (make sure they use the name as per passport).. we waited 10minutes only.

While you are waiting for that.. your partner will need to get their finger prints taken. All we had to pay at the police office was 10,000rupiah. At the kantor Camat they wanted 50,000 for a signature :)

We submitted our applicaton on March 19th... we havent heard from the embassy yet. We were told if you hear nothing from them within 7 workings days, to give them a call :)

If you need any info ... feel free to send me an email.

Btw .. the fee was roughly 11.5million rupiah.
