Hi Gary,

The following is from a web site that i have forgotten the name of.....

"White Sand Beach, Near Candidasa, just about 4 km to Amlapura you can find a lovely white sand beach, Pantai Pasir Putih. On the way to Amlapura, after the village of Bugbug you will enter the village of Perasi. Here you will find this very quiet beach which is located in a natural bay where the nature is still unspoilt and where you can swim in blue crystal clear water. It is an ideal spot to bask in the sun and bring your picnic basket with you or you can enjoy a drink or a light lunch at the warung."

I found the above info after i came back from Bali.

Whilst i was in Candi Dasa i found the beach. Shirley from Seaside Cottages told me there was a small hand painted sign 'White Sand Beach' on a power pole on the RHS side of the road amongst shops and warungs etc, and if you get to the Service Station you have gone too far.

Well i missed it going from Candi Dasa, also it is over the hill and over a bridge.............and about 15 minutes or so from CD.

I got to the Servo and headed back slowly. There was a sign on a pole that was easier to spot coming from the Amlapura direction. It was in Indonesian and wasn't actually in English. It read something like Pantai Pasir Putih as per the above description.

Anyway just follow your nose and there are some other signs directing you after the turn off from the main road.

Good Luck,

Ray
