Surf Boards and Garuda - weighed?

Hi
Two sons taking own boards, (one body board and other surf board )
has any one had experience of being weighed, way in OK but was hoping to put some art work in with boards on way home, not much, and will not be silly,
Will declare them at customs if there is wood etc on them, but do they usually include weight of boards?
