Hi - we are flying Pacific Blue to Bali from NZ - with a transit stop in Brisbane. As Pac Blue don't provide food we were planning to pack a snack pack for the kids as they'll never manage without something to eat and if we have to pay for food on the plane I'm sure it will make a big dent in our spending money (hungry teenagers LOL)
Anyway we are aware we'll have to be careful what we take so we don't have any liquids in our carry-on luggage (were thinking chips, snack bars, biscuits, filled rolls etc) but I have just realised we have a stop in Brisbane and I'm not sure what the rules are about taking food in Australia when you are in transit? From past experiences of transiting Australia we only had an immigration check not a customs / MAF check so hopefully not a problem but just want to be sure?
Has anyone else who has done this give me any info?
Thanks
Sheryl (NZ)
