I sent back books, snorkelling gear, clothes, batik etc. No items were removed or extra duty charged.

No matter how securely you pack, Australian Customs will open the packages, then repack them using sticky tape labelled "your parcel has been repaired", as if they were doing you a favour by destroying your packaging then repairing it.

The postal agent in Jalan Benasari will wrap your things in a cardboard box, then cover the box with synthetic material and sew the seams.

The packages took about 6 to 9 weeks to arrive.
