I left all my medication in the original packets with my name/dosage on them and also a letter from my doctor stating everything prescribed that I was carrying. The things I took over were Epi-pen, Prednisolone and other Asthma medication. I took this all as on board luggage and kept everything together with the letter.
I also took Nurofen Plus which I was thankful for as you cannot buy it in Bali without a prescription. Had no problems with Customs at either end. Take what you think is necessary as you may not be familiar with their over the counter products.
