I enquired to Aus customs about bringing 2000 cigs back and was informed that it goes on the stick value of what i had paid in Indonesia approx ($102) and the import duty payable was $586 so it still worked out less expesive than buying 10 cartons in Aus,only thing was that you were paying for 10 weeks supply in one hit.

Also my wife had been told that you can send 1 carton to one address in Aus one time per year, not true !!! when my wife tried we got a letter from customs that stated we must pay duty on the posted cigs, still worked out cheaper than than paying in Aus.

If in doubt contact Australian customs by email and they will answer all your questions.
