I just renewed my childrens. It took 12 days from the interview to delivery.
As for the flights, depending on their dates they can get a flight with virgin for about $590 each including taxes...not sure about jetstar, garuda or indojet. Although Jetstar now have that lowest price garantee - they will beat the online fare by 10% as long as it is on the same day and avilable.
