We've only stayed once at the Patra (Nov last year). We prob won't stay there again as we thought that it lacked atmosphere and it was very expensive for food and drinks. We also found it was too far away for us and the rooms were a long walk to the pool.
We have stayed at the Dynasty countless times. The majority of the guests are Australian. I can honestly say that only once did I see any drunken yobbo's at the pool bar. It was a group of late teens, they were not rude or misbehaving or getting angry - they were just very loud.
I do like a pool bar but often just sit on the sun loungers at happy hour as it can get busy. Appart from the one occasion everyone I've seen/met at the pool bar are just there to have a couple of drinks and a chat.
Maybe we have just been lucky in not witnessing any drunken behaviour (and No, I'm not a drunken yobbo myself LOL).
Our kids love the Dynasty over and above any hotel we have ever stayed it. You can't beat it with kids.
2.5 weeks and counting for us !!! Yeah !!
