Friends have stayed in the Deluxe rooms they are fairly basic and ALOT smaller than the Deluxe Suite which has a lounge/dining area and a quite a big bathroom. Have never stayed in these myself.
As mentioned we normally have The Deluxe suite up nearest reception but i think all the Deluxe Rooms are further to back of property.
Have never had a problem with the distance they have a shuttle about 5 times a day to Kuta or a taxi is about $2. sometimes nice to come back to the quiet. Even though the hotel is quite large usually fairly quiet around the pool and easy to get a sunlounge. Can walk now the new path is in.
Really depends what your after.. Have stayed at other properties and never real had an issue with any of them.
We are booked in for 2 weeks in April and just rebooked for sept as well. Must say over the years we have met some great people around the pool there who we still keep in contact wih now.
My one thing they could change would just be to alter their rest. menu and prices -but were usually out for dinner or just walk up the beach to nearby ones.
Did read post on trip advisor..Never had a problem with the sellers o the beach. My daughter regularly has her hair braided by the ladies there etc
There has been a dog there - a healthy one owned by one of the beach ladies who wanders in - it is discouraged by the staff ( but enticed by the clientele who feed it breakfast )
Never had a problem with anything being dirty. No dobt prob better hotel but just depends on the area youre after or how busy/quiet you want it. Also the prices since everything seems to have gone up quite a bit.
One of my other favourite if you want to be close to shopping is the poolside cottages at the Ramayana but they sleep maximum of 2. the pool is small but not many people using it. Handy to shops and restaurants. Judi
