not sure of the age of your children but at school (yrs 8-12) i used keren and suara siswa. keren had a cd companion so you can do some self directed learning. to learn another language your kids need to want to do it and also its best to have a teacher/tutor of some sort. indonesian is an easy language to learn but unless your children are exposed to it in daily life i dont think any of it will sink in. for adults colloquial indonesian is a fantastic book. its very formal and quite rigid but overall one of the best books i've seen. a good website is seasite.niu.edu its the south east asian website of northern indiana university. has great activities, comprehensions etc.
