You called it "dead Perth", why would'nt I be defensive? It did sound like you disliked Perth but after reading this post realise you don't.

Your other comments in this post about Perth are very true. Having
been to both cities, I know which I prefer. Had a great time in Sydney (on holiday) but would'nt want to live there.

Another good thing about Perth is that its only 3 1/2 hrs from Bali!
