Let's try this again.
I've been to Bali twice in the past and tried to find ways to contribute while there, i.e. 2005 found Adopt-a-Bali founded by the 1st bombing widows, 2007 took supplies for teacher/students at Pelangi school in Ubud. There are three of travelling this time and we wanted to kick down for some help at an orphange.
I had seen a good suggestion awhile back and wanted to try follow that format. It was suggested to contact an orphanage, talk with them, find out what supplies they needed, buy them and deliver it to them (someone had gotten milk, rice, eggs, oil, etc. that was requested). I think better to get what they need rather than to guess or just get toys and candy for the kids (which we could throw in anyway, just not the major expense). We have a good driver(if he's still in business) and can go to Marko and load up and then deliver.
I'm asking if you can suggest an orphanage, contact names & phone numbers, address/location, description, etc. We will be in the Kuta/Ubud/Medewi areas so anywhere around there would work.
I know there has been a lot of experience out there with orphanages and any and all suggestions are invited.
Thanks,
Mike
