I would get a taxi there, ask to be droped off near the Market end. End closest to Kuta. Then I would would 100 or so metres along the road looking at the various outlets and bargain hard on the price. Don't accept list price for anything, you can always bargaing down the price and get extras e.g a couple of extra prawns thrown in after they have weighed them and told you the price. Get there about 5pm so that you have time to look around. When you are happy with a place sit down watch the sunset and enjoy. I don't think it is a rip off at all.
